One of our most popular posts so far has been the list of 09 Amazing Examples of Video Game Cosplay. And on that list, one of the more popular photos was Lara Croft rappelling down a waterfall, while aiming a gun at the top. Oh my!

As you can guess, Lara Croft is perhaps the most iconic video game babe of all time, and a popular cosplay subject for literally over a decade. That is why I decided to make a list of 09 hot examples of Lara Croft cosplay over the years. 01) Lara Croft Cosplayer Illyne

Probably the most prolific creator of high quality Lara Croft cosplay as of late, the quality of her photos are always top notch.

02) Lara Croft Cosplayer LadySnip3r AM

LadySnip3r is a ridiculously cute cosplayer and video game blogger. She hits up the conventions in the NY area. She did a fantastic job of portraying the “new” Lara Croft, which is why I included it here. In my opinion, Lara never looked better. -Twitter

03) Lara Croft Cosplayer Alison Carroll

Alison is a British model, and was the official Lara Croft during 2008-2010. She is also a gymnast, as you could probably guess… You can follow her on twitter, or check out her blog.

04) Lara Croft Cosplayer Athora X

Athora X is a cosplayer from England, and in my opinion does a fantastic job or portraying 2012′s version of Lara in this set. You can find her DeviantArt gallery here.

05) Lara Croft Cosplayer Karima Adebibe

Karima Adebibe is a Moroccan British model, and portrayed Lara during the mid 2000′s. I couldn’t find a twitter or anything, sorry!

06) Lara Croft Cosplayer Lara Weller

Here she is folks, the original Lara Croft cosplayer. We’re talking “90′s” here, that’s how long ago this was ;) Lara is a Dutch model, and can be found on twitter here.

07) Lara Croft Actress Angelina Jolie

I couldn’t not include Angelina on this list, since she was so significant in bringing the series mainstream. And likewise, this role is was catapulted her into stardom. I actually had a Tomb Raider poster on my wall, yet I have never seen any of the movies…

08) Lara Croft Cosplayer Unidentified

This is another unidentified cosplayer spotted at a convention. She is one of the few who have the goods to make a somewhat realistic original Lara ;)

09) Lara Croft Cosplayer Sara Chafak

This photo was actually part of the MISS FINLAND 2011 contest, which Sara won. Yup, Lara Croft is MISS FINLAND now!
